TULSA, Oklahoma -- Green Country residents woke up bright and early Saturday morning to flip for a cause. Assistance in Health Care, Inc. threw a flapjack fundraiser to raise money for cancer patients. Supporters bought $7 pancake plates, served up by the staff at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar at 104th Street and South Memorial.

All of the money collected will go to help cancer patients being treated in the Tulsa area with non-medical expenses that pile up when prolonged medical care turns into a financial hardship.

Assistance in Health Care currently gives out $15,000 a month to help cancer patients, while the requests for financial help are roughly $65,000.
