DURANT, Oklahoma -- An apparent sleepy driver is in serious condition after slamming his truck into a tree early Sunday.
According to troopers, Durant resident, 28-year-old James Grant, was traveling westbound on state highway 78 when his Dodge truck veered off the road and into a tree.
The unbuckled driver was pinned for about 20 minutes before being airlifted to a Dallas hospital.
Troopers say Grant suffered severe head, leg, arm and internal injuries. An accident report says Grant may have fell asleep at the wheel.
