TULSA, OK -- A former Tulsa police officer waived his right to a jury trial on Friday, entering a plea of guilty to a reduced charge of possession of a controlled drug.
Travis Ludwig was arrested September 23, 2009, on a complaint of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Police said they found cocaine and a scale in a duffle bag Ludwig used to clean out his patrol car. Ludwig's attorney originally said his client was innocent and that it wasn't unusual for suspects to hide things in police cars.
Ludwig was suspended in November and resigned from the force in January, 2010.
Sentencing is scheduled for November 10.
