Oklahoma's 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team Headed To Afghanistan

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma National Guard officials gathered in Oklahoma City Tuesday afternoon to discuss an alert from the Pentagon Tuesday, which states Oklahoma's 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will be headed to Afghanistan next year.

The National Guard held a media briefing Tuesday at the Oklahoma Regional Training Institute in Oklahoma City.

The Department of Defense announced Tuesday the unit's 3,400 Soldiers are scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan next year.
