MUSKOGEE, OK -- The five Muskogee mall shooting suspects were formally charged Wednesday in Muskogee County District Court.
Michael Mayberry, 16, is charged with first degree murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He appeared in front of a judge via closed circuit television.
The people accused of hiding Mayberry will face tougher charges than originally thought.
Tenesha Nunley, 25, and 24-year-old Augusta Parker have each been charged with one count of accessory after the fact of first degree murder and five counts of accessory after the fact of assault with a deadly weapon.
The suspects who investigators say were at the mall with Mayberry on Sunday fared much better.
Anton Nelson, 17, and Dondray Fowler, 19, were not charged but are being held as material witnesses in the case. Both will remain in custody on $200,000 bond.
Cpl. Pedro Zardeneta of the Muskogee Police Department said investigators are still looking for
additional suspects and witnesses.
"We're still trying to identify who they are and what their roles, if any, are and what they saw," Zardeneta said.
Investigators don't have a motive for the shooting, but Zardeneta says police believe it was "in some way gang related."
Not involved in Thursday's proceedings was one of the original suspects, 20-year-old Daniel Anderson. Police have cleared him of any involvement with Saturday's shooting.
