TULSA, OK -- A Tax lien has been placed on Arrow Trucking for failure to pay tax liabilities between December of 2008 and September of 2009.
The lien was placed because Arrow Trucking owes the State of Oklahoma $345,572 in taxes and penalties.
The amount owed includes $30,000 in penalties and $25,000 alone.
The lien encumbers all real estate and personal property used and owned by Arrow Trucking and allows the state to use legal measures to collect debts.
Wage garnishment, seizure and sale, revocation of business licenses are a few measures commonly used to retire tax debts.
A tax lien often stays on taxpayer's credit for seven to ten years even after debt is settled.
