Holly Corp. Acquires Tulsa's Sunoco Refinery

TULSA, OK -- Effective Monday, the Sunoco refinery in Tulsa is now a part of the Dallas-based Holly Corp.

In a news release, Holly Refining & Marketing-Tulsa LLC announced it has completed its previously announced purchase of Sunoco Inc.'s 85,000-barrel-per-day Tulsa refinery and associated businesses.

The price tag, $65 million.

The 750-acre refinery sits approximately 45 miles from, and has a direct pipeline connection to, the major supply and storage hub at Cushing.   

According its web site, Holly Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, is an independent petroleum refiner and marketer that produces high value light products such as gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel.

The Holly refinery at Tulsa manufactures a combination of lubricants and specialty products, distillates (diesel and jet fuel), finished gasoline, petroleum coke, LPG and gas oil.
