TULSA, OK -- Hundreds of Tulsans are doing a little spring cleaning, getting unwanted and dangerous chemicals out of their homes.
The Metropolitan Environmental Trust is taking the items off their hands for free. The group is out at the fairgrounds this weekend doing collections.
"Take the opportunity to look in your garage and under the sink and say, ‘Am I gonna use this chemical or not?' If you're not gonna use it, stop storing it," said Michael Patterson, The MET executive director. "Bring it to use tomorrow, and we'll do the right thing."
The MET will be out at the fairgrounds 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
