Temperatures are warming things up in parts of the Pacific Northwest buried in deep snow.
In Portland, Oregon, rain is expected to wash away much of its 19 inches of snow. In Seattle, forecasters are optimistic the rain won't bring any major flooding.
The change in the weather is making travel complicated in Eastern Oregon. Limited visibility, snow drifts, slush and ice have closed several highways, including stretches of Interstate 84.
It's still cold in eastern Washington state, where as much as 7 more inches of snow has fallen today.
One Washington state mail carrier is tired of it. She says she doesn't believe that stuff about "neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night" being able to stop the mail.
