After a year of waiting, an Oklahoma man is getting a needed addition to his home. Bobby Lane received a ticket for parking in his yard last week to load his wheelchair. On Thursday, the Community Action Agency in Oklahoma City built him a ramp.
He can now roll right out his door and straight to his truck.
"It feels great. I mean wonderful it's gonna save my knees from a bunch of crawling," said Bobby Lane.
Another Oklahoman gave Lane a lifting device to help him get in and out of his truck. And, as for that parking violation, a city attorney has offered to help get it waived.
