Driver Crashes Car Into Telephone Pole

A young motorist is recovering on Sunday morning after crashing his car into a telephone pole.

A young motorist is recovering on Sunday morning after crashing his car into a telephone pole. Officers with the Tulsa Police Department say the accident happened just after 4 a.m. in the 1500 block of Pine Street.

Police say the driver was heading east on Pine when he crossed the center of the roadway and slammed into a telephone pole, totaling his vehicle. Police are investigating what caused the accident. They don't suspect the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Nobody witnessed the crash, but police say another vehicle stopped and called 911. EMSA transported the driver to the hospital. The motorist is expected to recover.
