A church that's survived almost 80 years of history was in shambles Monday night.
The First United Methodist in Kiowa took a direct hit when severe weather moved through Pittsburg County.
The strong storms there peeled back the roof and dropped it into a tree next to the church. Members are praying for no more rain, because they won't be able to get a tarp to cover the hole until Tuesday.
Elsewhere around town, power poles are snapped and the city is littered with limbs that couldn't stand up to the storm.
