Members of the Tulsa Model-A Ford Club spent Thursday on a road trip from Bixby to Okmulgee.
The club left shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday and traveled on the old Bixby road south to state Highway 16 and then west to the OSU-Okmulgee campus.
Club member, Roy Cail, said the group thought students in the OSU Automotive Technologies program would be interested in seeing cars from an earlier era.
"You won't find some of the materials in these cars used in a modern automobile," said Cail. "For example, portions of the chassis, roofs, and body of a Model A were made with three types of wood, ash, oak and maple."
All of the Model A's making the trip were manufactured between 1928 and 1931.
