Firefighters and Comanche County's emergency response teams have extinguished a raging wildfire on Saturday. The fire plagued the northern parts of Comanche County for 18 hours beginning on Friday afternoon.
More than 4,000 acres were burnt. The fire is being called the, "largest wildfire since the horrendous wildfire season of 2006."
More than 50 fire departments from across southwestern Oklahoma and the Oklahoma City area battled the blaze into the early hours on Saturday morning.
No injuries were reported and no homes were lost, however, there was one report of loss of livestock because of the fire.
