NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma's Jonathan Horton will represent the United States as a member of the six-man American team at the World Gymnastics Championships.
Horton and the rest of the U.S. squad will begin their medal quest in the preliminary round on September 4th at the 2007 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. The event serves as the team qualifying competition for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Team USA will compete in Subdivision 6 with the Netherlands and Romania.
Joining Horton as part of the U.S. delegation for the second straight year is OU head coach Mark Williams. The head coach of the American squad at last year's World Championships, Williams will serve as an assistant coach on the 2007 team.
