A Green Country city is named one of the safest in America. Broken Arrow is ranked number 22 in a new study by a Washington-based group. The study used FBI crime statistics to determine the safest cities with at least 75,000 residents.
Number one on the list was Mission Viejo, California. The most dangerous city was Detroit, Michigan.
Broken Arrow is the only city in Oklahoma to make either list.
The 14th annual "City Crime Rankings: Crime in Metropolitan America" was published by CQ Press, a unit of Congressional Quarterly Incorporated. It is based on the FBI's September 24th crime statistics report.
