A crackdown on violence in Tulsa's downtown club district is working. Extra Tulsa Police officers have been added to patrol the area to cut down on fights and other violence.
Officers say right now, the biggest problem they have is not the crowds but traffic control.
Captain Eric Dalgleish: “if we can encourage people to keep moving and stopping in the streets that's our biggest issue right now. The fights over the past 2 or 3 weeks have really subsided; we're seeing less and less of that.â€
Officers did issue a number of citations late Thursday and early Friday morning for moving violations and a couple of DUI's.
