The state medical examiner says murder suspect Paul Rico died of natural causes. The 78 year old Rico was preparing for trial for the murder of Tulsa businessman Roger Wheeler.

A medial examiner's report says internal bleeding led to Rico's death. He also had hardening of the kidneys and disease of the heart and blood vessels.

Rico died in January in a Tulsa hospital a little more than a week after he'd been extradited from Florida to Oklahoma.
