Tulsa Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatal accident in south Tulsa early Thursday morning.

Officers say it happened just after two o'clock near 61st street and Delaware. Police say the driver of a black SUV tried to take a curve too fast. That caused a deadly chain of events.

Tulsa Police Captain Brad Clark: "The one vehicle was attempting to negotiate this curve at a high rate of speed west bound. Did not make it, and struck another vehicle traveling east bound."

Police say one passenger in the SUV was killed. The driver and another passenger were taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

No names have been released.

Several beer cans were found at the scene. The investigation into the accident continues.
