We've all heard the "Golden Rule" to treat others, as you'd like to be treated. And for one Green Country student it's paying off.

Edward Smith was the grand prize winner of the "Do A Good Deed" contest. He wrote an essay about his volunteer work with the Limestone Fire Department and it took first place. He won $100 and a new computer for his efforts toward helping others.

Congratulations to Edward. And, the entire family has reason to feel proud, Edward's sister Shawna helped him, and won second place.
