(Norman-AP) -- The Oklahoma Sooners will be on the cover of Sports Illustrated when issues hit newsstands later this week.

The cover features a picture of defensive lineman Jimmy Wilkerson tackling Texas quarterback Chris Simms. OU won the annual Red River Shootout with Texas, 14-to-3.

It's the 18th time overall and the fourth time since Bob Stoops became the head coach that the Sooners have been on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
