If you've been to the Tulsa International Airport recently, you've noticed some big changes. Probably the most visible is the recently completed canopy. It's just one of 12 projects TIA is working on; including shuttle lot expansion and a new rental car turn around.
According to Tulsa Airport director Brent Kitchen, many flyers are most impressed with a new system that allows them to track the weather. "The FDI system, flight installation display system, is new. It has weather radar right in the center of it, which a lot of people have commented favorably on. You can actually see the weather where you're departing from and where you're going to visually. So that's up and very popular."
And, while these improvements make traveling easier for you, Tulsa International Airport says they also open up the possibility for further airline expansion.
