(Arlington, Texas-AP) -- The Texas Rangers trade of catcher Doug Mirabelli to the Boston Red Sox for pitcher Justin Duchscherer will mean a pitcher for either Oklahoma or Tulsa.

Duchscherer is a 23-year-old right-hander who was 6-and-3 with a 2-point-44 earned-run average in 12 starts for Trenton in the Double-A Eastern League. He was promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket over the weekend.

The Rangers say Duchscherer will be assigned to Triple-A Oklahoma or Double-A Tulsa.
