Statue of Charlton Heston to be unveiled in Oklahoma City

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Officials say a bronze statue of actor and gun-rights activist Charlton Heston will be unveiled November in an Oklahoma City museum.

Heston is scheduled to be at the event. The seven-foot state is modeled on the character Heston portrayed in the 1968 western ``Will Penny.''

Actor Tom Selleck and comedian Jeff Foxworthy will also be at the presentation.

The statue was donated by an Oklahoma advertising agency and members of the National Rifle Association.
