(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Keating missed out on President Bush's stop in Oklahoma City because he was in China.

Keating left August 23rd for an economic development trip to China and Vietnam.

Bush was in Oklahoma City on Thursday to speak at a fund-raiser for Congressman Jim Inhofe and gubernatorial nominee Steve Largent.

Keating spokesman Dan Mahoney says the governor addressed about ten thousand people at an investment fair in Oklahoma's sister state, Gansu Province.

In Vietnam, Keating planned to sign an agreement with Vietnam National University.

The agreement will allow Vietnamese students to study for two years in their country and then complete their degrees at one of 12 Oklahoma universities.
