(Chandler-AP) -- Two Lincoln County men are under arrest for the death of a man whose body was found floating in a creek.

Lincoln County Sheriff Dale McNelly says 20-year-old Lewis Carter of Meeker and 20-year-old Lawrence Ellis of Davenport were arrested yesterday.

They were taken into custody in connection with the death of 42-year-old Alvin Wayne Mixon Junior of Stroud.

Mixon's body was found Tuesday east of Chandler near State Highway 99.

McNelly says Meeker police interviewed the men about the crimes and then booked them into the Lincoln County jail.
