Newport Beach, California-AP) -- It took a 24-foot birdie putt on the ninth sudden-death hole for Jose Maria Canizares to defeat Edmond resident Gil Morgan on the Senior P-G-A tour.

Morgan brings home more than 123-thousand dollars for his second place finish in the Toshiba Senior Classic in Newport Beach, California, yesterday.

Morgan and Canizares were tied at the end of regulation at eleven-under par. Canizares earns 210-thousand dollars for the victory, which is his first on the Senior Tour.
