OSU hires defensive coordinator

(Birmingham, Alabama-AP) -- Alabama-Birmingham defensive coordinator Bill Clay says he'll become the defensive coordinator at Oklahoma State.

Clay becomes the third assistant to join the staff of new head coach Les Miles, joining offensive coordinator Mike Gundy and passing game coordinator Darrell Wyatt.

U-A-B finished the 2000 season with a 7-and-4 record and ranked eleventh in the N-C-double-A in total defense.
