(Stillwater-AP) -- One of the college football coaches considered a candidate to succeed Bob Simmons at Oklahoma State is no longer in the running.
Boise State's Dirk Koetter has withdrawn his name from consideration.
O-S-U athletic director Terry Don Phillips has interviewed Western Michigan coach Gary Darnell and Dallas Cowboys assistant Les Miles.
Darnell is a former O-S-U player and assistant. Miles was Oklahoma State's offensive coordinator from 1995 through 1997.
School officials are hoping to name a new coach soon after Saturday's game against Oklahoma, which will be Simmons' last game as O-S-U head coach.
