Testimony got underway Thursday in Scott Eizember's double murder trial. The first day laid out two different scenarios in the murders of AJ and Patsy Cantrell.
Prosecutors say the murders were part of an attempt to get to Eizember's ex-girlfriend, Kathy Biggs who was the Cantrell's neighbor. They say Eizember called Biggs after he was arrested, and said if she just would have talked to him, none of it would have happened.
But the defense says Eizember did not intend to hurt the Cantrell's. They claim AJ Cantrell shot his wife while aiming for Eizember, who then started hitting Cantrell because he was upset.
The trial is taking place in El Reno in Canadian County. Testimony resumes on Monday.
