OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Some parts of Oklahoma receive a good soaking from the storm system that passed through the state Tuesday.
Porions of the state received more than 5 inches of rain, which caused local flooding of raods in some areas but little damage. State Highway 11 was closed temporarily east of U.S. Highway 77, where a new bridge is being installed, before the rain pushed away from the state into Kansas.
The highest rainfall total in the state was recorded in Foraker in Osage County, where 5.3 inches fell by Tuesday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Climatological Survey.
Other high rain totals included 4.7 inches in Newkirk in north-central Oklahoma and 3.3 inches in Burbank.
