OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A report released Wednesday says Oklahoma ranks 40th nationally for education policies and socio-economic factors that play a role in a child's chance for academic and financial success.
"Quality Counts 2007," a report produced and published by Education Week, found that Oklahoma lags on what the publication calls "success indicators," such as family income, parent education and middle school mathematics.
The report says Oklahoma does well in its efforts to connect the kindergarten through 12th grade education system with early learning.
