OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ About 15,000 utility customers are still without power this afternoon after strong storms moved across Oklahoma last night and this morning.

One utility worker was killed in Dewey County early this morning after slipping and falling into downed power lines.

Oklahoma Gas and Electric, Public Service Company of Oklahoma and customers of electric cooperatives in the state all report outages. And Pioneer Telephone reports more than 4,000 of its customers are without phone service.

PSO says a utility worker from Elk City was killed about 4 am when he slipped on wet grass after getting out of his truck, then sliding into downed power lines near Leedey.
