CLINTON, Okla. (AP) The Jaguar XKE that Bill Richardson donated to Clinton High School is probably going to be auctioned and the proceeds used to build a new running track for students.
Richardson is a 1946 Clinton High School alum who now lives in Oklahoma City.
He has a collection of more than 100 antique and collector cars, and this week gave one of them to the school.
The car is a 1967 shiny red Jaguar convertible worth about $60,000.
Superintendent Perry Adams indicates he wants to sell the car and use the proceeds to help refurbish the track adjacent to the Tornado Bowl football stadium.
Clinton High School is home of the Red Tornadoes.
