Thieves hit a Habitat for Humanity building site - taking something the charity can't do without - the tools to build houses.
News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan says Habitat for Humanity has 3 big trailers they use at building sites to store their tools. They are custom made for Habitat and were donated to them by the Kiwanis Club.
One of them was stolen last week - and found Monday morning. The trailer is one piece - but all of the tools are gone. It was dumped in a north Tulsa neighborhood a couple of miles from where it was taken.
Finding the trailer was a big break for Habitat for Humanity, but losing those tools was a big loss. They had volunteers ready to build this past Saturday, but not the usual compliment of tools they need to do the work.
