ENID, Okla. (AP) _ Enid police say they've arrested two people suspected of identity thefts in Oklahoma and Texas.
Police Chief Mike Adams says investigators are still trying to positively identify the man and woman who were arrested after a traffic stop Sunday.
Adams says numerous drivers licenses from Oklahoma and Texas were found in the couple's pickup truck plus credit cards, Social Security cards and checks. Adams says many of the items were reported stolen in the Amarillo, Texas, area.
The chief says officer Logan Niles stopped the couple as they drove through Enid while pulling a house. He says the woman told Niles the house belonged to her grandmother, but Niles recognized the house and knows the owner.
Amarillo police, the US Postal Service and the FBI are also investigating.
