Gov. Kevin Stitt filed paperwork with FEMA to receive funding related to the COVID-19 response.
When approved, all 77 Oklahoma counties could be eligible to supplement efforts with funding from FEMA's public assistance program and provide emergency services such as the protection of lives, property, public health, and safety.
Stitt also requested an economic injury disaster loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration due to the coronavirus.
The state is in contact with SBA and awaiting approval.
Once approved, businesses will be able to apply for the low-interest disaster loans online at SBA.gov.
So far, more than 2,600 Oklahoma business owners have reported their economic impact at damage.ok.gov.
