During this pandemic some of the most heartbreaking images are those forced to fight alone.
Patients loved ones aren’t allowed in hospitals.
That’s the case for Ranee Freeman-Swift. She just got done with her last cancer treatment on April 17.
“She’s the type of person who would do anything for anyone else,” said friend Michelle Tanner.
Ranee had almost all of her cancer treatments while in self quarantine.
“These last three weeks have been real hard,” said Ranee.
She is a single mother of three and hairdresser who hasn’t been able to work due to the government order for the past month.
“Ranee is one the strongest women I’ve ever met in my life,” said friend Kasey Egan.
Which is why her friends weren’t surprised that she beat cancer.
Ranee’s friends and family had a surprise waiting once she returned home after her last treatment.
Around 40 vehicles led by a police escort gave Ranee her own personal parade.
Drivers had flowers, balloons, signs and words of encouragement and congratulations while driving by her home.
“When you don’t have anyone during this whole thing, then they all come through to see you, It’s great, makes my heart full” said a tearful Ranee.
