Several hundred people marched in a peaceful protest with an 11-year-old and his mother in Owasso Friday.
"I just wanted to bring my little girls out here to know what it is to take a stand against evil and what is wrong," said protestor Alex Rosa.
The group marched from Ator Elementary to Owasso High School- young and old, chanting for peace, for a better future. It was a moment that overwhelmed Gloria Corbin, as she marched arm in arm with her daughter Patrice.
"I am 60 years old and we are still fighting for justice for black people," said Gloria Corbin.
"I have a 7-year-old son and I am a single parent, so I feel like I need to do it for him too. It is scary to think that I could leave this world and he could still be experiencing these things," said Patrice Corbin. "When you come and you see a large group like this that is here to support you and a cause like this, it brings hope when at times you feel hopeless when this stuff is going on."
