Tulsa police arrested a man accused of raping a pregnant woman and holding her hostage.
Joseph Hobbs is facing rape, kidnapping and strangulation charges.
The arrest report shows Joseph Hobbs and the victim know each other and said the victim told police Hobbs got upset Friday over text messages in her phone.
The report said Hobbs hit the woman several times with a cane, slapped her and called her names, then raped and choked her.
The victim told officers Hobbs wouldn't let her leave and forced her to go with him to a casino.
The report said the victim left a note in the women's restroom saying she'd been kidnapped and needed help. Before she could get help there, the report shows Hobbs took the victim to a dispensary. That's where police say the victim told an employee she’d been kidnapped and needed help. Police said an employee called 911.
Officers said the victim had bruising, scratches and swelling on her body.
Police arrested Hobbs. The arrest report said Hobbs told officers he didn't assault the victim. It also said he claimed the sex was consensual and called the victim crazy and a liar.
At the time of this report, Hobbs is still in the Tulsa County Jail.
