Dean and John have an update on what OSSAA plans to do with high school sports in the fall.

Right now the plan is to try and provide sports activities in the fall. That's coming directly from David Jackson the executive director of Oklahoma's Secondary School Activities Association. He says everything is on the table when it comes to prioritizing safety.

While Jackson admits the fall season won't look like it has in the past he says there could be interruptions like maybe stopping and starting again. Right now, there are contingency plans in place: shortening the season and playoffs moving activities to the spring and leaving it up to the district if a player tests positive for COVID.

The same goes when it comes to fans attending games... that'll be up to each district. The OSSAA does make the decision on fans when it comes to postseason games and Jackson says the hope is to safely have fans in attendance.

He says they're watching what other sports and states are doing. Meanwhile Moore Public Schools is the latest Oklahoma school district to suspend its football practices after one of its athletes tested positive for COVID-19.
