Oklahoma City police was called to a shooting just after 12:30 a.m. Friday in southwest Oklahoma City.
When authorities arrived on the scene near the intersection of Southwest 25th Street and South Blackwelder Avenue, they said the found 19-year-old Abraham Rodriguez lying on the ground near the vehicle. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have ruled this as a homicide.
Investigators said Rodriguez and a friend were driving near Southwest 23rd Street and South Miller Avenue when they exchanged words with a pedestrian. The pedestrian pulled out a weapon and opened fire on the vehicle. Rodriguez was struck.
The two traveled back to the Southwest 25th Street and South Blackwelder Avenue area where they sought help from a relative.
No arrests have been made in this case.
