Cherry Street Reopens After Year Of Construction

Traffic on Cherry Street is back to normal today after a year-long construction project.

Two-way traffic is flowing again with full access to businesses between Utica and Peoria. City replaced waterlines and sidewalks and the streets have been repaved. There will also be back-in parking on the north side of 15th and parallel parking on the south side.

The project finished ahead of its scheduled October date.
