The Tulsa Police officer who was shot in the line of duty got a special shout out for his birthday this week.

Aurash Zarkeshan is making amazing strides at an out-of-state rehab facility after being shot in the head during a traffic stop in June.

His birthday was a few days ago and a friend shared a Facebook video showing Zarkeshan as he watched a couple of special birthday messages from two members of his favorite band, Five Finger Death Punch.

Zoltan Bathory hammered out a few chords of “Happy Birthday” on his electric guitar before sending Zarkeshan well-wishes.

“Officer Zarkeshan, happy birthday from Five Finger Death Punch. Also wishing a speedy recovery as you know always supporting the team blue,” Bathory said.

Bassist Chris Kael also made a personalized video for Zarkeshan sharing some words of encouragement for the recovering officer.

“I can’t imagine, man, but I’m here. We all go through our things. We gotta stay our of heads and find that strength inside,” said Kael. “Keep that inner strength going, brother. You got this. Crank up that Five Finger Death punch to inspire ya. We are here for ya, brother, we love ya and get well soon.”

His friend told Zarkeshan they hit up the band’s Instagram page to get the videos.

Zarkeshan says he can stand and walk comfortably, he's ready to get back home and he’s incredibly grateful for the love and support from the Tulsa community and beyond.
