Nicoma Park Authorities Investigate 'Suspicious' Fires

Nicoma Park Firefighters said they responded to two separate fires they believe are related and suspicious in nature.

Firefighters responded at 11:15 p.m. Monday to a house fire in the 3500 block of Daryl Lane in Spencer. When crews arrived on the scene, the found a small fire in the kitchen that they were able to quickly knock down.

At 4 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a fire in 1000 block of Northeast 19th Street in Nicoma Park. Firefighters said the incident was related to the earlier fire in Spencer.

The Nicoma Park Police Department is investigating.
