In Yukon, 4 through 12th grade students return to class Monday morning.

Superintendent Jason Simeroth says after going over Canadian County's COVID-19 numbers, the school board felt now would be a good time to bring students back.

Students fourth grade and up who are returning to in-person class are required to wear a face mask.

Classroom space will be optimized for social distancing.

Movement in hallways will be mostly one way traffic. The district will be using visual cues on the ground to help with that.

Simeroth says the key differences for older students focus mostly on how much classes mix, which could increase potential exposures.

For parents and visitors, no one will be allowed inside the buildings unless it's absolutely necessary. This includes during lunchtime hours as well.
