Tulsa Police are investigating after a man was found mauled by dogs and died. This happened near Admiral and 50th West Avenue.

Tulsa Police said a man has died after they found him severely mauled by three dogs.

Police confirm the victim is 26-year-old Curtis Wickham. The owner of the dogs said Wickham is her ex-boyfriend and was trying to break into her house.

She said her three dogs attacked Wickham while protecting her, her three-year-old daughter, and her current boyfriend.

Officers said this happened at a home west of downtown, near West Admiral Boulevard and 50th West Avenue, but the original call was for shots fired. Officers said when they got to the scene, they found a man severely mauled by three dogs.

Detectives call this a very tricky investigation.

Animal control has taken the three dogs.
