The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding two men who tried to rob a convenience store in a crime they said is especially concerning to investigators.
Surveillance video shows the two men outside Maverick Mini Mart near 64th and Peoria.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office hopes the distinctive, brightly colored coat one of the men wore will help identify them
The video shows the suspects pointing guns at customers and the clerk around 1:00 a.m. on October 30. The men couldn't get past the safety glass protecting the clerk and register, and eventually they left the store. No one was hurt, and nothing was taken, but TCSO said both men were very aggressive.
Casey Roebuck, the TCSO Communications Director said she's worried about what will happen next time if the men aren't caught.
"This was actually one of the more frightening attempted robberies that you can get,” Roebuck said. “We really want to seek tips in this case so that we can arrest these two people and get them behind bars. Because what we don't want to see is a case a few days or weeks down the road, where they attempt to strike another business or another victim, and we have someone hurt or possibly killed.”
You can call the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office at (918) 596-5601 to leave an anonymous tip, or you can call Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS.
