Okmulgee Police said a man is in critical condition after being shot on Tuesday.

Police said two people, Darren Powdrill and Daniel Grizzle were booked in the Okmulgee County Jail accused of shooting with intent to kill.

Police said two suspects drove off after the shooting around 3 p.m. Tuesday near W 6th Street and N Kern Avenue.

They said the victim and witnesses were able to identify Powdrill by a street name that officers recognized. Officers also identified Grizzle as a possible suspect and went to his home where they said they saw both men driving off.

Police said they stopped the car and arrested both for shooting with intent to kill.

Officers said they recovered a firearm in a search of the house that they believe may be the shooting weapon.

Police said they have not released the victim’s name at this time.
