Owasso High School Band Honors Veterans With Unique Performance

Students at Owasso High School honored veterans in a unique performance Wednesday.

The music they played was written 20 years ago by a man in New Hampshire to honor his grandfathers, who both served in World War II.

Owasso Band Director Chris Harris found out it had never been performed, so band students worked to learn the music. They performed it Wednesday and broadcast it over Zoom.

The composer’s grandfather and family members got to watch and listen to the special tribute.
